Description
From Grimburgerhof, the trail ascends to the partially reconstructed medieval Grimburg Castle. Climbing the castle tower is worthwhile for the sensational views of the Wadrill Valley.
We then hike through the romantic, secluded Wadrill Valley with its beautiful meadows. At Keller Steg, the trail continues towards Kell am See. After crossing the Hunsrück High Road, we reach a ridge with expansive views.
We join the Ruwer-Hochwald Cycle Path. Those wishing to visit Kell can turn off here via a connecting path. The trail then leads through secluded forests in the Ruwer River's headwaters. The stage ends at the reservoir in Kell, which offers numerous recreational opportunities.
