Our farm was built in 1910, and we were fortunate enough to take over the house in 2020. Our stylishly furnished holiday apartment is located in the former machine house, which once housed the equipment needed for farming.
In our typical Trier-style farmhouse (where living and working spaces were traditionally combined in one building), we have created a modern and open-plan living space spread over two floors.
The ground floor of the apartment comprises the eat-in kitchen and the bathroom. The open living area features a comfortable sofa that can also be used as a bed.
The sleeping loft (the "nest") with a box-spring bed is reached via an open staircase in the open space.

Above all, sustainable and ecological construction is the driving force behind everything we offer. Our house (built from fieldstone and clay) has been completely renovated and finished with lime plaster.
We also place the highest value on natural materials and plant diversity in the outdoor area. From your private terrace, you have a beautiful view of our largely natural garden.
Artwork and found objects of all kinds give the home a unique character and a high level of comfort.

Just let yourself unwind with us. After a long day of activities, pamper yourself in our in-house beauty salon or be enchanted by the world of beer specialties and a culinary experience in our microbrewery.

Activities:
Discover the tri-border region (Germany, France, Luxembourg) with its breathtaking natural scenery. Whether vineyards, the Moselle or Saar rivers, or the cities of Saarburg, Trier, Luxembourg, and Saarbrücken – everything is easily accessible, making our farm's location extremely attractive.

Moreover, we are situated in a hiker's and cyclist's paradise – the beautiful mixed forests of the Black Forest Highlands, crisscrossed by numerous well-maintained trails, and the Saar-Hunsrück Trail with its premium loops are located right around our farm. The 13.4 km long Greimerath High Trail, for example, is one of a total of 114 premium loops, all of which meet the highest hiking standards.

The rolling, low mountain landscape in which Greimerath is nestled is a true treasure for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. Cyclists, hikers, runners, mountain bikers, swimmers, canoeists, motorcyclists, and many others will find plenty of opportunities, as everything is easily accessible.

Furthermore, we also rent out a Vespa Sprint 50 for leisurely rides or exploratory tours. This allows you to experience the charming surroundings in a unique way and, for example, reach the nearby bathing lake in Losheim in the fresh air (SUP boards are also available for rent from us).

With the "Vogelfrei" farmstead, we have created a place where peace, nature, art and wellness are wonderfully combined.

A favorite place to stay for couples who appreciate the combination of actively exploring the Hochwald, Saar and Mosel regions, relaxing wellness offers and a particularly beautiful spot to relax and breathe with a view of the greenery.

Check-in:
The apartment will be handed over upon arrival and departure. Instructions for using the apartment, as well as information on all activities and facilities, will be available on site.

The apartment must be left clean and tidy, with the bed linens removed. We separate our waste and dispose of it according to the designated waste collection area.

Prices:
The prices listed are for up to 2 people (including electricity, water, and final cleaning) with a minimum stay of 2 nights.
Initial bed linens are provided and included in the price; additional bed linens cost €12.50 per person.
A country-style organic breakfast can be booked separately: Prices: Adults €15.00 per person / Children up to 12 years €9.00.

Booking & Payment:
Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of your telephone, written, or in-person registration.
Payment is due on-site and must be made in cash.

Cancellation:
If you are unable to travel – which we would greatly regret – please inform us in writing.

Cancellation fees:

• Free cancellation up to at least 30 days before the start of your holiday
• For cancellations less than 30 days, but at least 7 days before the start of the rental period, you will be charged: 50% of the rental price
• Less than 7 days before the start of the rental period: the tenant pays 90% of the rental price

We recommend travel cancellation insurance.
 
Liability:
The landlord is not liable for accidents or damages that occur during your stay in the holiday apartment and on the property. Rental items are also not subject to the landlord's liability. 

Daily rental Vespa: €50.00 / day.
Daily rental SUP: €15.00 / day.

Check-in: 3:00 PM

Check-out: 11:00 AM

A separate agreement is possible at any time.

Directions:

From the A1/Reinsfeld:
Leave the A1 at the Reinsfeld exit (132) towards Saarburg, Kell. Follow the road towards Saarburg (B407). Turn left onto Greimerath (K139). After 2.5 km you will reach Greimerath.

From the A8/Merzig:
Leave Merzig towards Losheim am See (L157). After Brotdorf, turn left towards Losheim am See (L157). At the intersection, continue straight ahead towards Hausbach/Britten (L374). After Britten, turn left onto the B268 towards Trier. After approximately 5 km, turn right towards Greimerath (K139). After 1.5 km you will reach your destination.

From Trier:
Leave Trier towards Zerf/Losheim am See (B268). Follow the road for approximately 25 km (B268). Turn left towards Greimerath (K1349). After 1.5 km you will reach Greimerath.
