Surrounded by forests lies Greimerath, a tranquil village in the Hochwald region. Nestled within this forest are our restaurant, "Greimerather Forst," and our new guesthouse, "Ferienwohnungen Greimerather Forst" (Greimerather Forst Holiday Apartments). In a completely renovated building, we have created five holiday apartments, true to our name – featuring plenty of wood.
Two apartments (Katzenstirn and Uff'm Knippchen) have south-facing balconies with garden furniture and views of the forest and surrounding nature. The two attic apartments offer spectacular views over the rooftops of Greimerath and out to the surrounding forests.
The solid wood furniture lends the rooms a unique and inviting atmosphere. Our location is ideal for hiking and cycling, situated directly at the start of the "Greimerather Höhenweg" (Greimerath High Trail) and only 400 meters from the cycle path that connects directly to the Ruwer-Hochwald cycle route.
From Greimerath, you can also easily explore the surrounding area. Excursions to Saarburg, Trier (Germany's oldest city with a magnificent cathedral), or the nearby Losheim Reservoir are highly recommended. The Saar Loop in Mettlach, as well as numerous wineries along the Saar and Moselle rivers, invite you to linger. International metropolises like Luxembourg or Strasbourg can also be reached in 1-2 hours.
