Holiday home Burg Heider Mühle

Welcome to the holiday home Burg Heider Mühle, idyllically situated between Lampaden and Heddert, near the Burg Heid on the Heidkopf, which has a height of 530 m above sea level.

Leave everyday life behind and relax with the whole family, and even your dog, in this holiday home renovated in 2020, offering a total of 150 m² of living space. Enjoy the 6,000 m² garden with direct access to the Ruwer River and the large sun terrace, furnished with a table and chairs for six. In winter, you can cozy up in front of the rustic wood-burning stove in the living room.

The old mill is framed by the Ruwer river on one side and the former millstream on the other. Today, its water powers the turbine that supplies Heid Castle and the mill with environmentally friendly electricity.

In the 1960s, the former mill was converted into a comfortable single-family home. The interior was completely renovated in 2017, and in the autumn of 2020 it was fully refurnished as a holiday home.

The holiday home has central heating, parking space, storage for bicycles, Wi-Fi (fiber optic connection), satellite television and a hi-fi system with connection for iPhone/iPad.

On your arrival day, you will receive the key to the mill from us at Heid Castle. You can move into your holiday home from 3:00 PM (possibly earlier by prior arrangement).

Coming from the A1 motorway:
Leave the A1 motorway at exit 132 (Reinsfeld) and turn left onto the B407 towards Saarburg/Kell am See. After Kell am See, turn right onto the L143 towards Schillingen. After Schillingen, stay on the L143 and pass through the village of Heddert. After approximately 1 km after Heddert, turn left onto the K43 towards Lampaden. The Burg Heider Mühle holiday home is located approximately 2 km past Heid Castle.

Coming from Trier:
You are on the Moselle riverbank road (towards Konz) and turn left onto the B268 towards Zerf. Approximately 4 km past Pellingen, turn left again onto the K45 (towards Lampaden). Leave the K 45 after 2 km and turn right onto the K 43 towards Lampaden. Heider Mühle Castle is located approximately 4 km past Lampaden.

These cost €15 (€20 in 2027) per person per stay. 
Dogs are welcome. We charge €15 per dog per night.
A security deposit of €100 is required.
