Description
Surrounded by forests lies Greimerath, a tranquil village in the high forest. Right in the heart of it all, you'll find our restaurant “Greimerather Forst” and our new guesthouse “Greimerather Forst”.
In a completely renovated house, we have created four holiday apartments that perfectly reflect our name – featuring plenty of wood. All apartments have a south-facing balcony with garden furniture and views of the forest and surrounding nature. The solid wood furniture lends the rooms a unique, welcoming atmosphere. The location is ideal for hiking and cycling, right at the start of the "Greimerather Höhenweg" dream loop trail and only 400 meters from the cycle path that leads directly to the Ruwer-Hochwald cycle route.
From Greimerath, you can also explore the surrounding area. Excursions to Saarburg, Trier (Germany's oldest city with a magnificent cathedral), or the nearby Losheim Reservoir are highly recommended. The Saar Loop in Mettlach, as well as
numerous wineries along the Saar and Moselle rivers, invite you to linger. International cities like Luxembourg and Strasbourg can also be reached in 1-2 hours.
