organic meat, vegetarian, and vegan options, all homemade.
Even though we are an inn with our own butcher shop, or perhaps precisely because of this, we place great value on truly high-quality meat from animal-friendly, species-appropriate, and organic farms in the region. We also offer homemade vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Experience the heart of the Hochwald region at an altitude of 400-700 meters with its irresistibly beautiful charm, abundant nature, expansive forests, hidden lakes, moors, boardwalks, and hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails. Leave your worries and troubles behind. Find relaxation here, free from the stresses of everyday life. Hike the diverse "Schillinger Panorama Trail," one of 111 premium hiking trails in the region. The Saar-Hunsrück Trail is just 3 km away.
Schillingen, nestled in the Osburg Forest between the Moselle and Saar rivers, offers excellent climatic conditions, a heated outdoor swimming pool in summer, and easy access to Trier, the oldest city in Germany, Luxembourg, and the Middle Moselle region. The cultural offerings are diverse.
After a hearty breakfast buffet, where you can prepare your own packed lunch for your excursions free of charge, you'll be well-fueled and ready to explore the natural beauty of the Forest and its fresh air.
In the evening, a varied menu awaits you, featuring homemade vegetarian, vegan, and meat dishes made with ethically raised animals.
These "Forest delicacies" are accompanied by fine wines from the Moselle, Saar, and Ruwer regions, and a freshly tapped Trierer Löwenbräu beer.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy lovingly prepared, homemade dishes made without artificial additives.
In our charming butcher shop, you'll find not only our own sausages and hams, but also venison and wild boar, as well as a wide selection of regional products – perfect souvenirs for yourself or your loved ones back home.
Your four-legged friend is also welcome, and we have a washing facility available for him in our house.

Description of services for dogs:
Number of dogs allowed: maximum 3.
Cost per dog/night: €10 for the first night; €8 for each additional night.
Dog size: maximum German Shepherd size.
We have two rooms available for guests with dogs; dogs are allowed in the restaurant but should be dry and clean.
Amenities for dogs: bowls, dried beef tendons as treats.
Dog washing facilities in the cellar.
Hiking trails nearby: Schillinger Panorama Trail and Hochwald-Acht Trail.
Upon request, we can pick you and your dog(s) up from your hiking destination.
Owners are liable for their dogs (dog liability insurance).

Directions: Take the A1 motorway to the Reinsfeld exit; from there, follow the Hunsrückhöhenstraße (B407) towards Kell am See; drive past the town and turn right towards Trier/Pluwig. The next village is Schillingen. The guesthouse is located in the village center.
