Description
A tour for anyone who wants to test their fitness.
A scenic and varied tour to the idyllic Primstal Dam and the mystical Grimburg.
Directions
From Kell, the route descends to the beaver dam with its shelter and continues via Gusenburg (where you can stop for refreshments at Trattoria zum Landmann ) to Hermeskeil, where you can refuel at the Pizzeria Restaurant Da Massimo or Café Kallido . From there, we cycle on to the Primstal Dam, where you have the option of taking a detour to the "Züscher Hammer" (a historic ironworks). We cycle along the northern shore, passing under the Lösterbach Valley Bridge, onto the Peter-Georgi Cycle Path, and over the Benkelberg (home to the highest wind turbines in Saarland with panoramic views) to Grimburg. The next highlight, Grimburg Castle, is not far away, as is the opportunity to stop for refreshments at the Grimburger Hof inn , before the route leads through the Wadrill Valley and past the glider airfield back to Kell am See. Here, you can conclude your tour at the Hotel Zur Post or the Hotel Typisch , or at the reservoir at the Hotel Fronhof , Haus am See , or Landalpark Hochwald
