Description
This tour connects the Pellingen plateau with the Saar and Moselle cycle paths all the way to Trier.
From Pellingen, the route initially crosses the high plateau of the Hochwald forest to Steinbachweiher. Beyond Steinbachweiher, the route descends through wooded terrain to the wine village of Schoden. From Schoden, follow the signs for the Saar Cycle Path along level paths to Konz. A break is recommended at the confluence of the Saar and Moselle rivers. Continue along the Moselle Cycle Path to the Roman city of Trier. Passing Mattheiser Weiher pond and the Mariahof district, the route climbs towards Obermennig. Cycling parallel to the B268, you'll return to Pellingen above the vineyards.
