Since summer 2011, a 1.6 km long nature trail has enhanced the Schillingen recreation area.
At 18 family-friendly stations, children and young people in particular can rediscover the local natural environment in all its complexity. The mostly interactive stations playfully convey the interplay of forces in nature.
A tree labyrinth, a barefoot path, and the Fatima Chapel are all part of the trail, and the chapel, in particular, offers visitors peace and relaxation, far removed from the often hectic pace of everyday life.
The Spießbratenhalle (a restaurant serving traditional German cuisine) at the start and end point of the trail is open daily (except Mondays) from 12:00 noon.
